Copyright Office Announces Posting of Initial Comments Received in Orphan Works Study

The Copyright Office announces that initial comments received in the Office's study of issues related to "orphan works" have been posted on the Office's website. (Read comments.)

The comments have been received in response to the Notice of Inquiry published in the Federal Register (70 FR 3739) on January 26, 2005. The deadline for initial comments was 5:00 p.m. EST on March 25, 2005. Parties who wish to submit reply comments should follow the instructions set forth in the Notice of Inquiry. The deadline for reply comments is 5:00 p.m. EDT on May 9, 2005. (Read further information.)
