
Copyright Office Announces New Deadline for Pre-1972 Sound Recording Study Reply Comments in the Event of a Government Shutdown
Wednesday, April 13, 2011, is the deadline for reply comments regarding the Copyright Office’s study on the desirability and means of bringing sound recordings fixed before February 15, 1972, within federal jurisdiction. However, in the event that the federal government is shut down on that date, the new deadline will be 5:00 p.m. on the first business day after the Library of Congress resumes operation pursuant to section 703 of the copyright law.
