Copyright Office Extends Deadline for Reply Comments on Verification of Statements of Account

The Copyright Office is extending, at the request of stakeholders, the deadline for filing reply comments in response to its notice of proposed rulemaking concerning the verification of statements of account and royalty payments that are deposited with the Office by cable operators and satellite carriers. Copyright Office Extends Deadline to Respond to Request for Additional Comments on Remedies for Small Copyright Claims

On August 23, 2012, the Copyright Office published a notice of inquiry inviting additional public comments on remedies for small copyright claims. Due to the number and complexity of the issues raised in that notice, it appears that some stakeholders may need additional time to respond. In order to facilitate full and adequate public comment, the Office hereby extends the time for filing additional comments to October 19, 2012. Copyright Office Extends Deadline for Comment on Reporting Section 115 Statements of Account

The Copyright Office is extending, at the request of stakeholders, the deadline for filing comments and reply comments regarding its notice of proposed rulemaking concerning regulations for reporting monthly and annual statements of account for the making and distribution of phonorecords under compulsory licenses obtained pursuant to 17 U.S.C. 115. Comments are due on October 25, 2012. Reply comments are due November 26, 2012. Submit comments on the Copyright Office website at www.copyright.gov/docs/section115/soa/comments/.
