Searching for cases

If you do not know the exact title you entered when the application was completed, insert an asterisk (*) as a “wildcard” before, after, and/or within the portion(s) of the title you know. The search result will include all titles that include the characters you entered. The wildcard can also be used for case numbers.

Click on the Status Definitions link in the left top most navigation menu for a complete list of case status definitions.

Details are not available for cases that have been closed.

To find cases requiring a response to Copyright Office correspondence, select “Yes” in the “Action Needed” field.
