Copyright Office to Extend Business Hours
Issue No. 601 - November 30, 2015

The Public Information Office of the Copyright Office is extending its hours on a pilot basis through December 31. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, staff will accept inquiries by telephone from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., eastern time. The hours for in-person visits to the Office will remain the same: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., eastern time, Monday through Friday. The Office is conducting the pilot to assess the effect of extended hours on stakeholders outside the eastern time zone. When the pilot concludes on December 31, the Office will determine whether to adjust its business hours on a longer-term basis. The Office will remain closed as usual on federal holidays during the pilot.
