Rulemaking on Exemptions from Prohibition on Circumvention of Technological Measures that Control Access to Copyrighted Works

The Copyright Office has received 35 reply comments in response to the notice of inquiry in this rulemaking. The Copyright Office published a Federal Register notice on February 23, 2006, for the public hearings to be held in Palo Alto, California, and in Washington, D.C., in late March and early April (see available dates for hearings). A web-based form is available for requests to testify.
