Group Registration of Two-Dimensional Artwork (GR2D)

The Copyright Office has implemented a new group registration option for published two-dimensional artwork. This option is known as Group Registration of Two-Dimensional Artwork (GR2D). It may be used to register between two and twenty works published within the same calendar year, provided that all eligibility requirements are met.

Applicants are required to use a new application form specifically designed for this group option and must submit the application and required deposit copies through the electronic Copyright Office (eCO) registration portal. The Office made this registration option available on February 17, 2026.
